Political parties’ ideology in Nigeria have been called to questioning if they have really positively impacted the people?
This question becomes relevant with the ease politicians move from one political platform to the other under the most flimsy reason.
Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Edo State at the Lower Chambers of the National Assembly, Hon. Ogbeide Ihama made the expression on Friday, 2 November, 2018 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council Secretariat.
Hon. Ihama was a guest of the Federated Chapel of the NUJ, during its Congress.
He observed that thin line of difference runs through ideologies of the political parties in the country.
Hence no substantial impact is made by politicians in the lives of those they claim to represent even as they cross from one platform to the other.
But for him, working daily for the development of the people particularly his constituents is the drive, he asserted.
“My belief is human development; working to positively impact the Oredo people everyday; and that is my politics.”
He added that it is not about the political platform but how much positive impact is made with the mandate derived from the people.
Hon. Ogbeide is expected to be one of the special guests to grace the event of the Annual lecture series of the Federated Chapel slated to hold on 4 December, 2018 at the prestigious Benin Golf Club.
Chairman, Federated Chapel, Uyi Osaretin handed over the card inviting him to the event.
