Police in collaboration with vigilante operatives weekend shot dead an armed gang leader in Igbodo, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State..
The notorious armed robber, simply identified as “Chopping” was in the early hours of the day shot dead along a member of his gang in their attempt to attack and rob a Dangote trailer loaded with cement.
The police also recovered some locally made guns from the deceased suspects at the scene of crime reports said.
Contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mustafa confirmed the incident.
“Chopping had terrorized and robbed indigenes of the community mercilessly before he met his Waterloo.
“Guns and armunition were recovered from the notorious armed robber”
