Edo 2020: Kazeem Afegbua’s MoiMoi Politics, Anti Party Rascality And Unholy Alliance With Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Kazeem Afegbua happens to be Comrade Adams Oshiomole’s benefactor, he served during the inglorious eight years of the All Progressives Congress, APC, politics of rascality, despotism and disco dancing in Edo State.

Kazeem, it was, who dramatically berated Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu, in 2016, as Edo State Commissioner for Information, and in a commando like impetus instructed Osagie to go free himself from the N700 million criminal charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, being campaign funds alleged to have been misappropriated as head of the Presidential Campaign Team in Edo State, for former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

It is on record in the mass media, how Kazeem corroborated Oshiomhole’s multifaceted criminal allegations against Osagie, a man who was twice his campaign Director-General, describing him as a looter, occultist and a heartless social deviant who bathed a co-student with raw acid in 1984 while Osagie was a final year Law student at the University of Benin, a development which made the male victim sexually impotent till date.

Osagie, according to Oshiomhole’s averments was rusticated for two years (1984-1986), and which subsequently denied him admission at the Nigerian Law School to obtain his Barrister-At-Certificate (BL), making it absolutely impossible for Osagie to be called to the Nigerian Bar, for life.

Oshiomhole on National Television campaign sponsored programme waived his immunity rights as incumbent governor in 2016, so as to enable Osagie challenge allegations that he levied against him in any Law Court of competent jurisdiction, but Osagie owned up as a guilty mind and never sued Oshiomhole for defamation of character or press criminal charges against him.

And in 2020, as Edo APC governorship candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu had the impetus to play on the sound intelligence of the Edo people by shamelessly exonerating Oshiomhole from all disgusting criminal allegations he made against him in 2016, saying that such allegations were not from the inner conscience of his accuser (Oshiomhole). This man of questionable character is the very person positioning himself to govern Edo State. Osagie has no integrity left in his moral being. Edo people cannot be fooled by his deep selfish and self centered political interest.

Ler’s come back to the main actor in this piece. It was the same Kazeem who came on Channels Television recently to fragrantly exhibit acute anti party gross misconduct by openly endorsing the Edo APC controversial 2020 governorship candidate, knowing fully well that Osagie is still neck deep in the N700 million alleged fraud case with the EFCC, for which he asked Osagie to tackle in 2016 instead of pursuing a disjointed governorship ambition against Godwin Obaseki, and at the end Obaseki won.

The ripe question to ask Kazeem Afegbua is; has Osagie been cleared of the criminal charges pressed against him by the EFCC, involving N700 million misappropriated campaign funds before supporting his governorship ambition in 2020? Kazeem must answer this question because of his 2016 attack on Osagie in respect of the pending criminal charge.

The second leg of the question which Kazeem must answer is; what has Osagie done differently between 2016 and 2020 that made Afegbua to believe that if elected governor in 2020, Osagie will not loot and misappropriate Edo peoples monies as can be seen from Oshiomhole’s looting allegations and the N700 million campaign misappropriated funds?

The final leg of the question is; why should Kazeem prefer to support Osagie which he condemned to be a fraudster in 2016 and decide to work against Obaseki who has no criminal charge against him in either EFCC or any other anti graft agency? Is Afegbua directly or indirectly saying that a looter and unscrupulous fellow as captured in Osagie’s antecedents is more eligible and better to occupy the office of governor than Obaseki whose integrity and stewardship to Edo people is unblemished? Something is not right here and Kazeem must playing dirty pranks politically. His sudden twist offends the principles of natural justice and good conscience.

A critical look at Afegbua’s political dance of shame and moimoi politics is suggestive of a few supporting darkness while all right thinking and forthright majority Edo people are supporting light. What is therefore responsible for Afegbua’s double speaking and disgusting moral decay?

I strongly recommend that PDP Edo should set up adhoc disciplinary committee to scrutinize Kazeem’s anti party game and apply applicable sanctions without further delay. He is already working against the interest of the party. He should be expelled forthwith.

Kazeem’s intelligence and wealth of experience in the field of communication has been put to question and disrepute by his sudden contrived position which now portrays him as an unworthy Edo man who must never be trusted with higher office in the scheme of things either now or in the future.

It is obvious that the victory pendulum is swinging in favour of PDP and Obaseki, because light is by far better than darkness.

Come September this year, the likes of Kazeem Adegbua shall go on self exile from the political radar while Obaseki will continue his good governance in Edo State, for another four years.

Obaseki is the Winner, PDP is the Party.
